We are pleased to welcome to the Club - imposing, tall centre-back Ryan Astles, 21, after his release from Welsh Premier side Rhyl F.C and dependable left full-back Scott Duxbury, 20, after he terminated his contract at Vanarama National League North side Stockport County. Both have spoken with Jamie Dewsbury upon arriving at the Club, in Scott's case he has already spent an impressive time on loan in the last month before making his move permanent this week.

Welcome to the Vics', Ryan. You arrive here from Rhyl FC of the Welsh Premier League. You did well there, making nearly 30 apps; and scoring five goals last season which is no mean feat for a defender. Can you tell us a bit about your football career so far?
I spent my younger years at Tranmere Rovers and Chester City FC. At 16 I was offered a 2 year scholarship with Wigan Athletic. I made appearances for the Wigan Athletic Reserve side aged 16. I also captained the Wigan Youth Team. In the Summer of 2012, I signed for Buckley Town in Wales. I signed for Welsh Premier league club Rhyl FC in 2013 and played 90 minutes in almost every competitive game since signing. In this season I was awarded managers' player and players' player of the year
In the last season - 2014/15; I scored 6 goals and picked up players' player, fans player, managers' player, committee player and nominated for Welsh Premier League young player of the year.
What attracted you to put pen to paper here at the Vics', and are you looking forward to the challenges ahead in what has been an excellent start to our season?
After speaking to Jim Gannon I believed it was the right club for me to progress back in the English league. Yes Jamie, I am really looking forward to playing games, getting stuck in and hopefully to continue the run the team are on; despite defeat at Clitheroe.

SCOTT DUXBURY - Played 64 games for Vanarama National League North side Stockport County in the last two seasons, scoring three goals.
Welcome to the Club, Scott. It's been a good month or so for you and the Club, and now you are back on a permanent deal. How have you settled in at the Club and what attracted you to join up initially?
Thanks Jamie, as soon as I heard Jim (Gannon) wanted me to sign on loan at Vics', I was happy to accept the offer. I had heard great things about Jim and as I have found out whilst out on loan here - he is a great manager. As soon as I met the players they made me feel very welcome and knowing a few already helped me settle in straight away. Northwich has got me enjoying my football again and getting an assist with my first touch on debut against Bamber Bridge (2-0 home win) helped. As soon as I knew Vics' were interested to sign me permanently I came to an agreement with Stockport to terminate my contract. I would like to thank Stockport for the past few seasons and wish them all the best for the future. I am delighted to sign with Northwich Victoria and hopefully we can make this season a successful one with promotion.
