We are delighted to announce that silky, and predominantly right-footed central midfielder Michael Brewster has signed on for the upcoming 2016/17 Evo-Stik NPL Division One South season.

In spite of serious interest for Michael's services from Clubs higher up the non-league pyramid; this is something of a coup for the Green and Whites' as we look to bounce back from last season's promotion play-off final heartache at the hands of Spennymoor Town. Mike played for Southport F.C for much of last season in non-league's top flight, the Vanarama Premier before seeing out the campaign at Evo-Stik NPL Premier side, Skelmersdale United.

Welcome to the Club, Mike. A new challenge, and hopefully you can help the Club take the next step and get promotion this time around.

I am really happy to join Northwich Victoria. I want to be part of a winning team, doing well & most importantly enjoying it. I feel this is right place for me to do this next season and I'm really excited for the challenge. I ultimately want to get back into full time football, and I believe Vics' is the right place to help me try to achieve that. I can't wait to get back to the hard work which will strt soon in pre-season and do my best for the Club.

Manager Adam Lakeland on Michael's arrival -

I'm absolutely delighted that Michael has joined us and I'm confident he will prove to be an excellent addition. He is a box to box midfielder with fantastic energy levels and good composure in possession. His determination to do well is very apparent and I'm sure that we can help him develop and become an even better player. Michael had options to go to teams higher up the pyramid than ourselves but he opted for us because he believes in the way we are going to work, the ambition we have to take the club forwards and because he feels we can help him improve his game. I believe that MIchael will prove to be a good addition to the squad and I am looking forward to working with him. It's obviously been a summer of change and is a transitional period for the club but I'm confident that the squad will continue to take shape in the next week or two and that come the 13th August (League season opener) we will be ready to go.
